Terms of Service

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the services of In The Shop Auto Repairs & Sales ("we," "us," or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. These Terms of Service apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use our services.

2. Services Provided

In The Shop Auto Repairs & Sales provides the following automotive services:

  • Vehicle maintenance and repair services
  • Brake system inspection, repair, and replacement
  • Oil changes and fluid services
  • Transmission services and repairs
  • Suspension and shock absorber services
  • Tire sales, installation, and services
  • Safety inspections
  • Electrical system diagnostics and repairs
  • Differential repairs and maintenance
  • Fleet maintenance services

3. Service Estimates and Pricing

All service estimates are provided in good faith and are based on visible conditions at the time of inspection. Additional work may be required once the vehicle is disassembled or further diagnosis is performed. We will contact you before performing any additional work that exceeds the original estimate by more than $100.

Final pricing will be based on actual work performed and parts used. Labor rates and parts prices are subject to change without notice.

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. For services exceeding $500, we may require a deposit before beginning work.

Unpaid accounts may be subject to late fees and collection procedures. Customers are responsible for all collection costs and legal fees associated with unpaid accounts.

5. Warranties

We provide warranties on parts and labor as follows:

  • New parts: Manufacturer's warranty plus 12 months/12,000 miles on labor
  • Remanufactured parts: 90 days/3,000 miles on parts and labor
  • Used parts: 30 days/1,000 miles on parts and labor
  • Oil changes: No warranty on oil change services

Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or failure to follow maintenance recommendations.

6. Limitation of Liability

In The Shop Auto Repairs & Sales' liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for:

  • Consequential or incidental damages
  • Loss of use of vehicle
  • Rental car expenses
  • Lost wages or business opportunities
  • Damage to personal property left in the vehicle

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate vehicle information
  • Removing personal belongings from the vehicle
  • Picking up the vehicle within 7 days of completion
  • Following maintenance recommendations
  • Reporting any concerns within 24 hours of service completion

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from our services will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada. Customers must notify us of any disputes in writing within 30 days of service completion.

9. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or government actions.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
