What Are Your Hours of Operation?
Our mechanic services hours of operation are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, and 8:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday. We are close on Sunday. Visit the In The Shop contact page for directions to our shop, and for different ways to contact us.
What is your service area?
In the Shop Auto Repairs & Sales proudly serves customers from Brantford, Paris, Burford, St. George, and Ohsweken Ontario. We also have customers outside of Brant County that love our work and trust our mechanic services.
Are your mechanics licensed?
Yes. Every mechanic that works at In the Shop Auto Repairs & Sales is licensed to perform all repairs on your vehicle.
Do you offer a parts or repairs warranty?
Yes. At In the Shop Auto Repairs & Sales we stand by all the work we do on your vehicle. Parts and labour are guarantees for 90 days, excluding failure of parts supplied by the customer.
What forms of payments do you accept?
We offer a variety of payment options including Visa, MasterCard, Debit, and American Express.
How does your mechanic pricing work?
We are labour rated at $85.00 per hour, and we have a flat rate for oil changes and seasonal vehicle services packages.
What if I don’t know what’s wrong with my car?
We will schedule and perform a quick diagnostic service of your vehicle and determine what is wrong with it. Our licensed mechanics will be able to provide you information about some of the most likely issues during your visit.
Can my flat tire be repaired or should I replace it?
Repairing a tire or replacing it will depend on the amount of damage it has and the overall condition of the tire in general. If the tire is shot it has to be replaced but if it is only punctured we will repair it for you.
What kind of cars do you repair?
In the Shop Auto Repairs & Sales works on your Acuras, BMWs, Chevrolets, GMCs, Dodges, Chrysler, Fords, Hondas, Hyundais, Kias, Mazdas, Nissans, Toyotas and more.
How often do I need an oil change?
We advise that you schedule your oil change every 5000 to 7000 kms or every 3 months. Your vehicle’s oil change frequency will depend on how much mileage you put on your car and the type of oil your requires. Follow your car’s manufacturer’s guidelines to ensure your engine will continue to perform optimally.
Do you offer transmission maintenance services?
Yes. We provide transmission maintenance services for most vehicle makes and models. We provide a thorough inspection and transmission flushes that include fluid, filter, and gasket replacements.
Is preventative vehicle maintenance important?
Yes. If your vehicle is properly maintained it will last longer, operate more efficiently and save you money in the long run. Your owner’s manual outlines recommended maintenance schedules for your vehicle. Just like anything in life, proper upkeep is key.
There is an odd odour in my car, should I be worried?
Yes. If there’s a strange odour in the cabin of your car that smells like gas, oil or some other chemical, it is a good idea to bring it in for a vehicle check. These odours could signify a chemical leak, an overheating engine or even that your brakes are stuck.
